Stirloom in ChatGPT
Stirloom is a ChatGPT plugin that turns photos of handwritten recipe cards into a printed hardcover family cookbook. ChatGPT types up each card, relatives add theirs by link, and you order the book on our website.

What you can ask
- “Make a family cookbook from these recipe cards.”
- “Start a recipe book my relatives can add cards to.”
- “Show me what a Stirloom recipe book looks like.”
- “Add these two cards from Aunt May to our cookbook.”
- “In the apple cake recipe, change the oven to 350°F.”
- “Where is my cookbook? Has it shipped?”
How to use it
- Add Stirloom to ChatGPT. In ChatGPT, open Plugins, search for Stirloom and add it. Or mention Stirloom in a chat and approve it when asked.
- Share your recipe cards. Attach photos or a scanned PDF of the cards. ChatGPT types up each card and adds it to your book.
- Check the recipes. Open the book to see each photo next to its text and fix anything ChatGPT misread.
- Invite relatives. Ask ChatGPT for the family link. Relatives add cards without an account; you approve each one.
- Preview and order. Ask for a preview, then order. You pay on stirloom.ambientapp.ai, and the hardcover is printed and shipped.
What Stirloom does and doesn’t do
- It makes one product: a printed hardcover family cookbook.
- It keeps the cook’s wording and units. It does not invent ingredients or rewrite recipes.
- It does not take payment or addresses in chat. You pay on stirloom.ambientapp.ai with Stripe.
- It ships to the United States and Canada.

Questions
What do I need to get started?
ChatGPT and photos of your recipe cards. Take them in daylight with the whole card in the frame, or use a scanned PDF. You can also type or dictate recipes that were never written down.
Who types up the handwriting?
ChatGPT reads each card and types it up, keeping the cook’s own wording and units. Words it can’t read are marked [?] so you can fix them. You see every photo next to its text before anything is printed.
Does Stirloom need a ChatGPT login or a separate account?
No separate account. Stirloom keeps your books under a private ID that ChatGPT provides, so the same books show up in every chat. Relatives who add cards by link don’t need ChatGPT at all.
Can I pay inside ChatGPT?
No. ChatGPT gives you a checkout link to our website, where you pay with Stripe. Never type card details into the chat.
How long does delivery take?
About 12 to 13 business days in the US with standard shipping, 7 to 8 with Express, and 6 to 8 to Canada. Printers are busier from mid-November, so allow about a week more then.
Can I return the book?
Each book is made for your family, so we can’t take returns for a change of mind. If a copy arrives damaged or misprinted, send us a photo within 30 days and we’ll print a new one free.
What happens to our photos and recipes?
We use them only to make and print your book. We never sell them or use them for ads. You can delete the book at any time; see the privacy policy for how long we keep each kind of data.
